Alert issued for Level 2 sex offender Zachary McQuillen
Zachary McQuillen, 26, who was convicted of a sex offense that allows for community notification, has advised the Prescott Valley Police Department (PVPD) that he will be living on East Yavapai Road in Prescott Valley, according to a news release.
He is classified as a Level 2 sex offender but is not wanted by the PVPD at this time.
The PVPD is releasing this information pursuant to ARS 13-3825, the Community Notification of Sex Offenders Law. The offender in this publication is living in Prescott Valley, Arizona. Notification must be made when certain sex offenders are released from the Arizona State Prison, released from County Jail, or are accepted under an interstate compact. Offenders are categorized into three levels according to their risk to the community: Level one (1)-low risk; Level two (2)-intermediate risk; Level three (3)-high risk.
On April 9, 2019, in Yavapai County, McQuillen, 22 years old at the time, was convicted of two counts of sexual exploitation of a minor and one count of aggravated luring of a minor. The offender was sentenced to eight years’ probation. The victims were female minors known to the offender.
This notification is not intended to increase fear; rather it is our belief that an informed community is a safer community. Citizen abuse of this information to threaten, intimidate, or harass sex offenders will not be tolerated. According to a news release, McQuillen is white, 5-foot-7 and weighing 164 pounds. He has brown hair and hazel eyes.
