PVPD issues alert for Level 3 sex offender in Prescott Valley
Level 3 sex offender Joshua Rush, 34, convicted of an offense that allows for community notification, has advised the Prescott Valley Police Department (PVPD) that he will be living on the 4400 block of Carla Vista Drive in Prescott Valley, according to a news release.
He is not wanted by the PVPD at this time.
On June 30, 2008, in Yavapai County, Rush, 19 years old at the time, was convicted of attempted molestation of a child and sexual abuse and sentenced to five years in the Arizona Department of Corrections and 10 years supervised probation, once released. The victim was a 13-year-old female known to the offender.
The PVPD is releasing this information pursuant to ARS 13-3825 The Community Notification of Sex Offenders Law. The offender in this publication is living in Prescott Valley, Arizona. Notification must be made when certain sex offenders are released from the Arizona State Prison, released from County Jail, or are accepted under an interstate compact. Offenders are categorized into three levels according to their risk to the community: Level one (1)-low risk; Level two (2)-intermediate risk; Level three (3)-high risk.
