Obituary: Charles Frederick (Fred) Howard Janes

Charles Frederick (Fred) Howard Janes, age 82, of Prescott, Arizona, passed away on Aug. 12, 2023. He is now reunited with his beloved wife, Sandy. Fred was born Dec. 28, 1940 in L.A. County, California.

Fred was in the United States Air Force and went on to become a firefighter, carpenter and worked for and retired from Yavapai County. He was very active in the Prescott community and with his Church.

He was predeceased by his father, George H. Janes and his mother, Eleanor (Gnewuch) Janes. He is survived by his daughter Yvonne McCune (husband Rev), daughter Yvette Pellack (husband Mike) son Robert Janes (wife Leah), stepson Scott Keilman (wife Brenda) granddaughter Karina Bondelid and grandson Kyle Janes. He was a proud dad and grandpa and will be in our hearts forever. A ceremony will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 5, at the Prescott National Cemetery, 500 AZ-89, Prescott, AZ.
