The Arizona Cowboy Poets Gathering — one of Prescott’s most popular annual events — returns to Prescott for its 35th year Thursday through Saturday, Aug. 10-12, at the Jim and Linda Lee Performing Arts Center, located on the Yavapai College campus, 1100 E. Sheldon St., Prescott.

A regular at the World Famous Laugh Factory, and The Improv in Los Angeles, Mateen Stewart is known for his ability to connect with audiences through his personal stories and unique perspective. Stewart brings his unique brand of comedy to Prescott at 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 4, at the Elks Performing Arts Center, 117 E. Gurley St.
